My name is Neldina Hamzic, I am 18 years old and currently a senior at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy, I live in Hartford and I have lived here ever since my parents came from Bosnia. My parents came to America to escape war and have a better life for them and us, when they arrived they had many helping hands and I am very grateful for that. I am the type of person who helps anyone in need and I never say no, I am this way because I want to give back to everyone that helped us even though I can’t give back to them personally I do everything with positivity and kindness. I always liked helping people and making them feel appreciated and with my capstone I can do this. For my capstone project I am helping the Connecticut Alliance of Foster and Adoptive families with their yearly event of creating a prom for foster and adoptive children and giving them something most of them never really had.
Mission Statement
My mission is to give kids and teens something they never had physically and emotionally. I have always been the person who helps and gives to others and I feel like being this way will help me in the future as a person. After high school I plan on going to college and getting my degree in psychology so that I can help others and do what I love.
